About us
Athens extreme sports is a group of young, local professionals, a network of sports instructors and sports experts based in Athens and Corfu, Greece. We do extreme sports and outdoor activities and we are inspired by people who reach out and catch their dreams. We organise outdoor activities in Athens and camps in Greece, we arrange adventure day trips and weekend plans for groups and individuals. Athens extreme sports is aiming at people who love nature and adventure, they want to explore and experience more of our beautiful country. Discover with us the unknown, the other side of Athens and Greece and plan your favourite activity. Daily tours or multiple days plans with mixed activities can be arranged upon request. Family plans, group offers, team building activities and corporate activity plans. We invite you to join us on the adventure.
Meet The Team
Thomas
Owner and Founder
I am the owner and founder of Athens Extreme Sports and Corfu Extreme Sports. I am a skipper, cave explorer, snowboarder, climber, rescue diver, Divemaster and extreme sports specialist. I’ve had the good fortune of transforming my passion for sports and nature with outdoor exploring and working with people into a successful career. My mission is to show a different side of Athens and Greece to my guests and to help them gain a better and deeper understanding of the sites and destinations we visit through their favourite activity. Periklis
Climbing instructor & Trail running coach
Graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science Democritus University of Thrace in 2009 with a specialization in Sports Tourism. He is a climbing trainer since 2009 and federal Climbing Coach of the year 2017. He is a climbing coach of EOS Chalkida and EOS Athens from 2013 and 2018 respectively until today. He is also a coach of long distance running since 2014. He has athletic and racing experience since 1995 in mountain running, climbing, ski mountaineering and triathlon.

Via Ferrata instructor
I am a certified Mountain Leader, Canyon & Via Ferrata Guide. My involvement with scouting in my childhood was what sealed my unbreakable bond and love for nature and the outdoors. Growing up, the activity of canyoning came into my life. Getting to know this unique world made me realize what I had been missing for so many years. Along the way, speleology and mountaineering became my specialities. I am organising adventure trips all over Greece, let us plan your next trip.
Yvonne &Panagiotis
Off road specialists
We are Yvonne and Panagiotis, experienced drivers of off-road vehicles and routes. We have made our hobby our profession and our purpose is to convey our love of driving in nature with our specially designed 4X4 vehicles. We offer custom made, guided, off road tours on the mountains around Attica and close destinations from Athens. Email us so we plan together your next extreme sports trip in Greece.

Paragliding instructor
I started paragliding in 1998. After my first landing as a passenger on a two-seater addiction flight, it was an one-way call for me!”Almost three years later I had already won a Greek championship and I started travelling abroad, trying to satisfy my thirst for new experiences, new acquaintances but above all to fly to as many different places as I could. In the effort to make this a reality, I started to fly competitively and non-competitively in the world's most famous paragliding areas !My goal, after all these years is to introduce paragliding to as many young pilots and passengers with responsibility and safety. My satisfaction is to see bigger smiles after each landing !

Scuba diving instructor
After over a decade working as a diving instructor in various locations in Greece, Panos decided to establish his diving center in the southern suburbs of Athens. We provide our clients with private or group diving services and boat trips around the beautiful coast and islands of the Saronic Gulf. Our motivation is to offer comfort, meet the needs of each of our guests individually, create unique memories and share our passion for the sea. We will be delighted to welcome you to our facilities to plan our next extreme sports exploration!

Horse trainer - Therapist
Electra Assilian is a Psychologist – Psychotherapist and Homeopathist. Since 2011 she has been professionally engaged in amateur riding, therapeutic riding and horse training. In 2015 she started her own journey in the world of horse, aiming to introduce people to a new philosophy of healing and personal development through horses.Since 2018 she maintains her own stable, and with her team – her four horses – they offer their services: Homeopathy for Humans and Animals, Psychotherapy, and Horse-Human Harmonization.
Thanasis
Paragliding & Paramotor instructor
I am an A.P.P.I instructor in paragliding, paramotor and para-trike. I am also a pilot certified from the Civil Aviation Service (Civil Aviation Service) for ultralight air crafts (weight shift and three axes) and examiner for pilots from the Hellenic Aeronautical Federation (ELAO). I am offering paramotor and paraglide flights in Athens, Leukada and Ioannina areas. Contact me for details and information about the flights and extreme sports.
