Parnitha Via Ferrata

Service Description

Via Ferrata is a climbing route which is equipped with permanent materials such as wire ropes, metal steps, bridges, etc. The path we will follow is called Lagrota and starts from the monastery of Kleiston at Fyli area which is located in an imposing position and in an altitude of 600m. The Via Ferrata route takes you over the Goura gorge, with a breathtaking view from above. Our route, between oaks, firs and pines is in a breathtaking landscape. Nature captivates you and leads you on an incredible excursion just 1 hour from Athens. Our exciting Parnitha Via Ferrata program starts with a 40 minute hike to the entrance of the Lagrota route. The impressive landscape around us is completed by the start of our route in the ravine of the Goura gorge. Route Information: Length: 4 km Altitude difference: 280m Difficulty; Average Duration: +/- 4 hours Conditions of participation Over 15 years old Basic fitness Lack of fear of heights or acrophobia Basic Equipment you should have with you: - Backpack 20L – 40L - Waterproof hiking or climbing shoe - Elastic and comfortable pants for hiking - Windproof and waterproof jacket - Spare clothes - changes for after the activity (t-shirts, socks, etc.). - Second pair of shoes - Sunglasses - Hat - Face sunscreen - Water (1-2 litres) - Food – nuts, raisins, bars, chocolates, etc. - Walking stick (if available)
